It is perfect for large gatherings of family and friends to enjoy the water and outdoor activities in the summer or enjoy the holidays and football games in the fall and winter. Located in Dowagiac, MI, the Lake House is only 35 minutes from South Bend, Indiana and the campus of Notre Dame. It is also less than two hours from Downtown Chicago/O'Hare Airport. Both locations offer convenient travel options. The house itself is spacious enough for the largest gatherings of family and friends. We offer 8 bedrooms total. Four bedrooms are on the first floor and four are upstairs three have their own private balconies. The additional three bedrooms are located on the first floor. There are beds to sleep 24 people (16 adults and 4 bunk beds). All of this will be enjoyed in the temperature controlled environment offered by central air conditioning and heating! The property has 35 feet of waterfront and sandy beach. Lake Dewey is perfect for boating, swimming, fishing, and just relaxing in general. The surrounding area is known for its wineries and vineyards as well as its small specialty shops. There is definitely something for everyone at any time of the year! All of us could sit at the table at the same time. The kitchen is fully equipped so cooking for a large crowd was easy. The water was warm and the raft was a real treat. Lake has a sand bottom with minimal seaweed. The is an Ice cream shop within walking distance. Lions club ten min away to ride dirt bikes.
