Lake Tawakoni State Park is just five minutes away. The view from this cottage is breathtaking -- wide open lake with unbelievable fishing and large supply of Texas birds to enjoy. Cottage on the Lake has a wonderful open living area with a queen-size sofa sleeper and built-in area for sleeping. The floor-to-ceiling fireplace adds to the coziness of the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped - just bring your own food! Master bedroom has a queen-size bed, a lovely view of the lake and private entrance to porch. Second bedrooom has built-in twin bunk beds. Full bath is supplied with towels for your use. Color TV's with satellite are available in living area and master bedroom . Enjoy video games on both televisions -- DVD player provided in living area for your favorite movies! Telephone/answering machine provided for free local & long-distance calls. Cottage on the Lake comfortably sleeps seven adults. Located ten minutes outside of Wills Point -- offers a serene getaway from the city with all the comforts of home.
Covered parking - Secure gated property - Fully equipped kitchen w/built-in oven/microwave, dishwasher -- all you need to bring is your food and drinks to store in the side-by-side refrigerator. Washer & dryer available in Cottage for guest use. Access to awesome private marina on property to store your own watercraft or just enjoy fishing from the dock. Paddleboat available for guest use (children under 12 require a lifejacket). For the avid fisherman -- a fresh water fish cleaning station! Satellite TV in living area and master bedroom w/Nintendo 64 video games and DVD player. Towels, linens and extra pillows are included. Washer/dryer provided for long-term guests. We will be glad to recommend a fishing guide. Canton First Monday Trade Days is located within 20 miles. Outlet malls and excellent shopping within a 30 mile radius. Lake Tawakoni State Park is just a few minutes away for putting your boat on the lake or enjoy the lovely swim area. Wills Point's Bluebird Festival is held in April and provides fun for all ages. Wonderful places to dine within 30 minutes -- including a steakhouse in a country setting that would compare to the best in Dallas! If you don't want to leave the property, enjoy the covered porch and cook your own food on the gas grill provided. Enjoy the park-like setting as you enjoy your barbecue -- or sit on the dock and enjoy the lake! Bring your horseshoes or volleyball equipment and get some competitive sports going while you enjoy the view. Perfect secure location for families or fishermen to enjoy a weekend or vacation!!
Rates:
$125 per night - Monday through Thursday nights
$150 per night - Friday through Sunday nights
All rates are for up to four people - $10 extra for each additional person
Rates are year-round - Friday through Sunday night rate applies to all days within a week before or after holiday - Weekly Rate - $800 per week

"This place was fantastic. It was the perfect place to getaway from it all. Very quiet and secluded with beautiful views of the lake. My wife loved the way it was decorated and the fact that it was so cozy. But she loved the porch the best. Quiet and peaceful looking right at the lake. She spent hours out there reading and stitching while I fished. The fishing was great from the shore and the dock. Next time I plan to bring the boat since there is a slip on the dock that we can use.
Joe and Joanne Biggie were very friendly and excellent hosts. After they showed us around they left us alone to enjoy ourselves but were always available if we had questions like, where to go in town or how to get to Canton. We felt like they were really glad to have us there and truly wanted us to enjoy our stay. We have definitely found our getaway spot and will be back again and again. I have to say that the pictures on-line can in no way capture the beauty of this place. My husband and I had a wonderful time here. Joanne and Joe were two of the kindest people we have ever met. They were available anytime we needed them. The cabin is great, no need to bring anything but food, and the view from the porch where we spent a lot of our time, was just breathtaking. We wanted somewhere to just relax and fish...we found the perfect place. We highly recommend it!"
