Although the water is shallow near the retaining wall, this is probably not the best set-up for toddlers or infants as access to the water is 5' to 40' from the house in all directions. Multiple life jackets of various sizes are available in the pontoon boat and are encouraged for all boaters and for swimming around the island. Certainly the best Muskie lake in the State and one of the best in the Country. Other fish available include Bass, Crappie, Perch and Bluegill. I am an avid fisherman and know the lake well. Happy to help with tips or to refer one of the excellent local guides. Lake Webster is a no limit lake so you can enjoy all boating activities including skiing and tubing during all daylight hours. Excellent duck and goose hunting is available during season, literally outside the back door. Minutes from Tri-County fish and wildlife area which offers multiple outdoor activities including a gun range, deer, dove, turkey, and pheasant hunting as well as multiple stocked fishing lakes.  Rates: The week of Memorial Day to the week of Labor Day: $1,500 per week (Peak season) which is Sunday through Saturday OR Saturday through Friday, depending upon availability. After the week of Labor Day to before the week of Memorial Day: $1,250 per week. Weekends outside of peak season are $500 and can be extended for $175 per night. Weekday rental requires a 3 day minimum. Weekend and weekday rental is at owners discretion. 50% of rental is due within one week to confirm reservation. Remaining rental amount along with $200 security deposit and $100 non-refundable cleaning fee are due 30 days in advance of stay. Rental agreement is required. This cottage deserves a better word than that but that is the best I can come up with. From the minute we stepped onto the island we were in love and very relaxed. Todd and Krista have done an outstanding job with this home. You see water from every room that you are in. You feel like you are on a cruise ship. The island was fully equipped with anything and everything that you would need. The pictures on the website just do not do it justice. The place is AMAZING!! We enjoyed our time so much that we are already thinking about next year. Todd and Krista were excellent to work with and were very caring about making sure our stay was 100% perfect. Fishing was perfect. Lots of fish were caught and released back but a few were kept and cleaned on the nice industrial kitchen sink cleaning station on the island which was a great feature. Cruise on the pontoon around the lake, sit on the beach and watch the boats, enjoy the deck and fabulous sunsets over the bog gardens, waive to everyone on the Dixie as it passes by the island, watch the wildlife (we enjoyed watching a family of swans carrying their babies early in the week and then letting them swim along side them toward the end of our stay), enjoy the beautifully decorated home that Todd and Krista allow you to enjoy......just can't say enough....it was truly the best vacation my husband, dogs and myself have ever had. The weather was perfect except for one rainy day and the pontoon boat did quit on us, but no sooner had I contacted Todd, than a couple minutes later about 5 or 6 friends of his came to fix it. We were up and running in minutes. Todd and Krista were a joy to rent from and very helpful. The place is an absolutely perfect get away. The day before we had to check out, my husband and I were sad that we had to leave. This was one vacation where we did not have that "can't wait to get home attitude". There is nothing negative we could say about this place. It was very clean and well kept and with all the extras like the pontoon boat, canoes, paddle boat, etc. you could not ask for more.
