Located on the west shore of Cayuga Lake, Windgarth House is in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country, across the road from the Sheldrake Point Winery and Cafe. Only 12 miles from Taughannock Falls State Park, and 20 miles from Ithaca, New York, it is nestled in a prime loaction. The house is right on the lake - there is a beautiful garden and gently sloping lawn that leads to the lake shore.
We are renting the entire house or the top floor of this beautiful home by the week in June, July and August, and for shorter periods the rest of the year (two night minimum.)
The top floor consists of two bedrooms with lake views, one with a queen bed, and one with twin beds; a bathroom with full bath and shower; a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, a living/dining room with a full sleeper sofa and a lake view; ceiling fans in bedrooms and kitchen; and a washer and dryer.
The whole house offers the upstairs plus a lower level consisting of a bedroom with a queen bed, en suite bathroom, living room, large kitchen/living room with full sleeper sofa, ceiling fan in kitchen/living room and twelve windows directly overlooking the lake.
We have a canoe and kayak available for our guests' use.
Landscaped with beautiful flowers, vegetable garden, mature trees and large lawn up to the beach.
House comes with two fully equipped kitchens (utensils, silverware, dishes, pots and pans, coffee makers, coffee grinder, toasters, basic spices); upstairs kitchen has dishwasher and microwave. Ceiling fans in upstairs bedroom and kitchen, downstairs kitchen/living room. All sheets, bath towels and beach towels are provided. Washer and dryer on site.
Activities:
Swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing (on site); walks and bicycle rides along the shore on a quiet road; hiking in state parks; winery tours; antique stores; Amish produce and furniture; in Seneca Falls - museums, restaurants; in Ithaca - museums, restaurants, farmer's market.
Rates:
From last week of June through Labor Day: Weekly rentals only (Sunday through Sunday). Whole house (sleeps 10): $1,950/week; upstairs floor (sleeps 6): $1,200/week.
Other times of year: Whole house - $300/night; upstairs floor - $175/night. Two night minimum.
