Canyon Lake is 8,240 acres in size and located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, 16 miles Northwest of New Braunfels in Comal County. This lake is fed by the Guadalupe River and known for trout fishing, tubing and kayaking. The limestone lining of the lake gives it very clear azure waters, making it one of the most beautiful lakes in Texas. Surrounded by rolling green hills, Canyon Lake has over 80 miles of shoreline, seven public parks, two military recreation areas and two marinas. There is a thriving business community locally, and it is close to New Braunfels, San Antonio and Austin.
