The house was in great condition and well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again. There was some construction going on at the houses nearby causing some traffic on the street and noise, but not really an issue for us. The only issue we had was that the bikes that came with the house were not super well maintained, the chain on one fell off multiple times, so I wouldn’t suggest any long bike rides. I forgot my steamer but there was an iron and ironing board. The carriage house was the perfect size for our family of 3. The grill is a little in the way of the stairs leading to the top, but you are able to get around it and really not a big deal for us. Located right down from the beautiful coquina pool and the boardwalk to the beach where our beach chairs were. Just a short, less than 10-minute walk to town for dining and shopping. The property is a shared property, not described in the listing which is frustrating when you spend 3800$. Be prepared to awkwardly walk through other people using a pool which doesn’t come with this listing. Also two garages both way to small for any large SUV. Alternative parking is to find open spaces usually 3-5 min walk down the road. Sucks at night when almost every spot is taken. 2. The photos make it appear much larger than it is. We had two adults and 4 kids ages 9-7-1 and 3months. Didn’t even use the pull out couch and felt extremely congested. Also zero privacy you can hear everyone breathing at night no matter where they are in the small space. 3. The windows on the top floor have zero shades, prepare to be up at 6-7am from the immense sun hitting you in the face. 4. There was construction going on at the house directly next to this little condo thing. And they start at 5:20 am. So if you manage to sleep through saws and hammers the sun will surely finish your dream off 5. Bikes were not there as described in listing. 6. The people who rented the main house consistently left all of there belongings all over the ground in front of the stairs you have to walk up to get inside, not the owners fault but once again should let people know it’s a shared property on listing. 7. Property pool alarm which goes off every time you open the door 8.the upstairs sink wouldn’t drain, and the toilet upstairs wouldn’t flush. We didn’t call a maintenance tech cause who wants to wait around on these things on vacation. 9. Sitting in the balcony, zero privacy, can see in main house, and smells like gas 10. Beach has alot of rules, no tents, no digging, overall not small kid friendly. 11. My wife and I slept in the upstairs loft and our teenage daughter slept in the single window bed. Both beds were quite comfortable. The carriage house is quite spacious and functional, the kitchen is well stocked and the unit is wonderfully decorated with a great beach vibe. There were guests in the main house for 2 of the nights, but we really couldn’t hear them unless they were using the pool below our balcony. The unit is an easy 3 minute walk to the beach via overpass A. That was quite nice for a quick walk to the beach for sunset or for a bathroom break during a day on the beach (no bathrooms at the beach). The staff was very helpful in solving a few minor issues that came up during our stay. The communication and instructions were very clear. It was ver dark and could not find unit. Called 30A rentals and was forwarded to an agent at his home. He seemed annoyed that I was bothering him at home. When I found the garage the garage door broke when I tried to close it so I could not park there. Finally, I got to the carriage house. At this point I was feeling pretty frazzled. CWhen opening the door to the unit, I was blasted with a shrieking alarm sound that would not go off until I closed the door. I was surprised to find out that the attached unit had a pool and the alarm is code with a pool. This makes sense but I had no prior knowledge of this. The unit was nice except for two issues. Number one, the fan above the bed did not work so was warm in the evening. The maintenance offered to bring a plug in fan but I declined. Secondly, and more importantly, there are no window coverings on the second floor of the loft where the bed is. Be ready to watch the sunrise every morning around 6am. Too early on vacay! The loft bedroom is very, very bright at 6 am, as there are no blinds or coverings on the upstairs windows. Also, the mattress needs to be replaced. It is way too soft , and we rolled into the middle all night due to wear. Overall, it really is a nice home in a great location, but early morning brightness and bad mattress are issues that need addressing." Some minor things I would like to point out is that there is an alarm system to the house in which you must hit a bypass button to enter or exit the rental. My main concern with this is that I was not informed of the process and the alarm went off on the rental for the first few hours in the rental until I was able to speak with someone at the rental company. They were very helpful. One other aspect I would change of the rental is some type of window shades in the loft bedroom. During this time of the year, the sun would be shining into our room at 6:00 am. The bed was very comfortable but we were not able to get good sleep due to the sun/moon coming into the room at all times. Overall, great location and great property but would fix a few minor things. I do not believe it is worth the price when there are lots of updates needed. To begin with, the front door lock is broken making it impossible to lock. There is an obnoxious alarm you have to deal with EVERY time you walk in or out. The couch is stained and dirty and the wicker table has a hole in it. We experienced a leak on our second night. The property manager offered to have someone come out and look at it but it was evident the leak had been recurring from the damage on the floor. Plus, who wants to sit around waiting for a repair man while on vacation? There’s a broken gas lantern outside that emits a natural gas smell which makes it hard to enjoy the deck. Also, does not show in the pictures but the ‘courtyard’ is actually not that at all and is the main house’s pool. So basically the deck view is down at someone else’s pool.. that you can’t use. The beach is close as well as the Coquina pool and kids playground but you expect your rental to be at least as nice as your own home and this property was definitely not that. The garage door opening was extremely narrow and large not long enough for my vehicle to fit in and close the door. I was a little put off by the check out procedure.I was left a message the day before check out asking when I would be checking out and to please let them know if it would be any earlier than the normal check out of 10:00 A.M. I called them back and told them I would be checking out at 10:00 A.M. I was loading my car at 9:30 and the cleaning lady was parked on the street next to me waiting for me to check out. She sat in her car watching and waiting for me to leave. (Still it was NOT yet 10:00) I found this to be pushy and felt rushed to leave. All passcodes are erased off the app on day of check out so I was unable to find the code to put the key back in the lock box. For a family of 2 adults, a 10 year old and an 8 year old, we felt cramped. The queen bed in the loft felt extra small. We are used to sleeping in a king size bed. It is also so soft that when your spouse moves it feels like you are on a water bed. It was very uncomfortable so my husband had to move to the twin in the window so both of us could get some sleep. This meant both of our kids had to sleep on the pullout. If the queen bed was replaced with a king we would stay here again. The only other thing is the shower curtain had mold and mildew on it. Other than that the place was spotless and very nicely decorated. It is really very nice! The property management company was helpful and responsive. The app they use makes it so easy!" First off there is a pool. No where on the description does it say the Carriage House cant use the pool (the description even states that the deck overlooks the pool). We found out we couldn't use it on day one when the people in the main hose arrived and complained. In addition, the wireless router is in the main house and the carriage house has a repeater which is completely dependent on the main router. We had heavy rains one day that kept us inside and lost WIFI. We then had to wait for the main router to reset and then had to call for service to get ours to reset. During the rain, one of the back door casings started leaking so we had pots and towels on the floor to catch the water. Through no fault of 30A, the family staying in the main house had 2 daughters who had a ton of boys over on a regular basis and with that came a continued barrage of loud hip hop music. Finally, the thing that irritated me the most was when we were packing to leave around 7:30 in the morning, 30A security put a notice on my car stating we could not park where we had the car parked (we were loading the car with our luggage which was impossible to do in the garage) and then drove up to ask what we were doing!!! We were leaving and didn't need someone nosing into our business when it should have been obvious what we were doing. We won't be back!"
