With a balcony accessible by the living room and master bedroom, guests staying in Shorewood 431 enjoy a great view of the Atlantic Ocean and the Shorewood pool area. After hours in the surf, vacationers return from the ocean via Shorewood's beach walkway and then dip into the freshwater swimming pool or a seasonally heated spa. Pool is Heated March 1 - April 30 and Oct 1 - November 30. Toddlers have a separate wading pool. Shorewood is a five story elevator building located in South Forest Beach. Among the amenities offered throughout Hilton Head Island, Shorewood is two blocks from the Coligny Beach Market, a quaint downtown area that offers guests a wide selection of restaurants, shopping venues, and entertainment for all ages. 1 Walk In Shower. The kitchen and both baths were recently renovated. King in the master, 2 Twins in the 2nd plus a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.

Visitor Reviews (24) Write a Review! "Great trip, disappointed in the unit This was our second time renting Shorewood 431. The first time was wonderful, no issues. This time around, when we got into the unit we noticed the loveseat was broken. So broken that the cushions slid right off onto the floor. Definitely no way anyone could use it for sitting. Also, the pull out queen sofa sleeper was in no condition for sleeping so one of our family members had to just sleep on the couch itself. We called to report the broken couch as soon as we checked into the unit but didn’t discover the sofa sleeper until later that evening. Safe to say it was a little disappointing this time around. We love Hilton Head and will continue to visit, we just won’t be renting Shorewood 431 in the future. We have stayed and shorewood before and were very happy with the property. This unit’s location allowed for a nice view but we found it lacking in other areas. While the vacation rental company made it very easy for us to check in smoothly, we felt like the unit was hastily cleaned/restocked. There were many things in need of repair or updating in the unit, including refrigerator seals, snags in the carpet, broken lamp, and very low quality pillows. Also, the unit owner had multiple notes throughout the property ie - "don't use these cups" which we thought were unprofessional. The vent in the hallway was covered in a thick crust of dirt and dust. Neither of the televisions worked in the bedrooms. The couches were dirty. The positives- the kitchen and the bathrooms were very nice and clean and updated. We had a wonderful time anyway and made the best of it but we wouldn’t stay at this condo again. Ceilings had water damage in several locations and need to be repainted. Overall, liked the unit as it was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Two very nice bathrooms, which is always a plus. Second bedroom was large with two twin beds but the beds need to be updated, very uncomfortable and they squeak whenever you move. The balcony view was awesome, it overlooked the pool (nice) and the ocean. For the money this is a good deal, but I would suggest better furniture in the living area and second bedroom to make the property more comfortable. The property management company was very helpful since we had a late check in, I would suggest them to anyone wanting to book a property in the Hilton Head area. Clean and well finished unit. The Wifi does not work however which is a major detractor. We all had IPhones which could link to the Wifi but could not access the Internet. They were indeed operative as they worked on the Internet through my parents' units' WIFI. We ended up using all of our data for the month and will this be charged $20 extra for the overage. There was a closet door hanging off the track pretty obnoxiously when we arrived. We called someone to see if they could fix it because we have two little ones and it posed a danger to them. They admitted to hoping they could have gotten away with not dealing with it until after peak season and their solution was to just remove the door so we had the beautiful sight of sweepers and a mop stacked on each other in there as we passed in and out of our bedroom. There was a MAJOR safety issue out by the elevator. One of the spindles on the fourth floor came loose and our 18 month old happened to find it and could have very easily fallen through had my husband not spotted what she was so interested in. We told the security guy about it and it was repaired quickly but that pretty much ruined things after that experience. Having the image of your child falling through the fourth floor balcony will do that. We stayed in units closer to the beach with a nicer view and less of a walk to the pool and beach.
