You'll find the Lake Tawakoni Tree House to be a comfortable escape from city living! Our cottage is located at the end of a quiet, secluded cove on Lake Tawakoni with 200 feet of shore line.
LARGE BACK YARD / PARK LIKE SETTING
The large back yard encompasses 3 acres and features a park like setting with numerous tall trees allowing for ample space for outdoor activities, an afternoon picnic or leisurely nature walk. The apartment has been nicknamed "The Tree House" because it is elevated and boasts a huge wooden deck surrounded by tall trees for a view that makes you feel like you are in the treetops. Enjoy your morning coffee from the deck, watch for wild life, sun bathe, chill out, or grill out.

The apartment has 900 square feet of living space and there is a 600 square foot deck. There is one bedroom with a double sized bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with eat in bar and dining table. In the large living room, is a wood burning pot bellied stove, a convertible couch that sleeps 2, double reclining love seat, a futon that folds into full size bed and a raised, inflatable queen size mattress with built in pump for the living room. Color televisions with Direct TV access, DVDs and VCRs in both living room and bedroom. Can sleep up to Eight people.
Other comforts you'll appreciate are: Central Air and Heat, dishwasher, full size refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, stackable washer / dryer, charcoal grill on premises, outdoor fish cleaning station and gated access to property.
The Lake Tawakoni Tree House is equipped with all dinnerware, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, linens and towels - everything you need to make your lake vacation comfortable. All you need to bring are your food, drinks, beach towels and personal items.
While visiting, we encourage you to consider this your home away from home. We also have table games and books that are available for your use.
In the large back yard, you can enjoy the wildlife. We often encounter deer, squirrels, raccoons, ducks, a blue heron and many other birds for bird watching. Horseshoes, croquet, football and a frisbee are provided for your enjoyment. There is also plenty of room in the back yard to pitch a canopy or tent for daytime use.
Bring your water and outdoor toys along. There is plenty of off road parking for boats, jet skis, canoes, etc. This will be a peaceful escape from hectic city life, a memory in the making.
Please note, we have seasonal waterfront. Currently, our cove is dry with Lake Tawakoni normally 70' deep, it is now 5' low. You will see this around the lake, with many boat docks on dry ground and shoreline receded. Lake Tawakoni, still has plenty of water to meet your boating, fishing and sport fun needs and there are 5 boat launches within 2 - 4 miles.
Our Tree House is unique to many of the other rental spots on Lake Tawakoni. Of special note, are the: seclusion and lots of elbow room both in the cabin, on the deck and on the property. Plus, we are Pet Friendly.
AVAILABILITY
Available for 2 night stays on up to however long you need a break! Occasionally, we have an opening for last minute reservations. Call us to check!
LAKE TAWAKONI
Is in East Texas and has 225 miles of shoreline with a large abundance of Crappie, Black Bass, Sand Bass, Striped Bass, Hybrid Bass and Catfish. It's also a good lake for water sports.
Restrictions:
Well-behaved and house broken dogs may be allowed with prior approval, but, note, that size, quantity, and breed type will be taken into consideration. Also, a pet deposit of $25.00 per dog is non-refundable. For longer rentals beyond 1 week, this deposit is subject to change. Prescribed companion animals are allowed for tenants with disabilities.
No smoking inside the apartment.
Owners live in a separate home on the property and are normally available for questions.
Apartment is on 2nd floor and not wheelchair accessible.
A Rental Deposit of $150.00 is required at the time of reservation. If reservation is cancelled within 2 weeks of occupancy, and we are able to re-rent for same time frame, then rental deposit will be returned within 15 days.
Otherwise, the Rental Deposit converts to a Damage Deposit upon check-in and is returned within 15 days of check-out provided there are no damages beyond normal wear and tear.

* Rental rates subject to a 6.5% Hotel Occupancy Tax
* Rental Rates cover up to 4 people. Add'l guests are $10 each per night.
* Minimum Stay - 2 nights. For holidays, 3 nights.
