"Just came back from our weekend at the lake and had a great time. The owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and couldn't be nicer. We even went out on a boat ride complete with marghertias! They had the outdoor fireplace ready to go for us. This is a nice couples weekend get a way spot. The only drawback is that you are actually part of the owners home, an upstairs apartment over the garage with a separate entrance"
Jun 28, 2010 - S. Bergman "Spent 4th of July weekend at Forest loake and the unit was just lovely. The fireworks display and boat parade added to the neat weekend. Owners provided kayaks, a float and paddle boats for our use. We were also treated to a ride on their pontoon boat with appropriate beverages and pickings.
The accommodations are brand new and spotless. Unit is attached to owners home, but privacy is not an issue. Owners are very accommodating, you want for nothing. We were very comfortable and felt as if we were in a place of our own.
The grounds are beautifully maintained . The lake is quiet and peaceful. Very relaxing.
We will go back.

Jul 13, 2010 - Robert Messier "We just came back today and we must admit we had a fabulous week. We were there with our two kids ages 11 and 9 and they just had a blast. The unit is cozy and fully furnished with all appliances including washer and dryer. The deck downstairs for our use had gas BBQ grill and the wood fireplace. Spending nights in front of the fireplace were just fantastic nights that words cannot describe.
The lake is just beautiful and peaceful. Great for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. The owners are just awesome. They were very hospitable and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy and were having fun at all times. We even went on few boat rides and our kids got to go tubing with them. In short, we absolutely loved this place and we highly recommend it."

The rental is almost new, everything is beautiful and clean, anything that you can imagine is provided. We just needed our beach towels. Kayaks, canoe, 2 paddleboats also available on their clean sandy beach. Beautifully mainained grounds, outside fireplace prepared to enjoy at any time. Toni also took us for a great tour of the lake on their plantoon boat and even gave us some local produce to take home. Privacy was not an issue, spent most of the days at the lake by ourselves. Will definitely return and most certainly recommend. We were 2 parents with 2 young adult daughters. Came very stressed and left very relaxed. This is a one of a kind property!!!"

The apartment is impeccably clean and charming. Fully furnished and stocked to give you the option to cook indoors or to use the separate outdoor grill area while you enjoy the spectacular views.
The lake is clean and large enough to enjoy fishing, swimming or boating. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable.

The owners of the property were very gracious in supplying everything needed to make this feel like home. They also had great suggestions for restaurants and local activities. We were also permitted to use their back patio with barbeque along with kayaks, a canoe, paddleboats and floats. What more could anyone want!!!! What a find!!!! We can't wait to return. "

The unit has everything you need including a washer and dryer. All you need to bring are beach towels and a dvd player if you're so inclined. My only complaint is the bed is a full, kind of small when you're used to a king. Nearby Keene is a funky little college town with alot of good places to eat and see some good music. Mt. Monadnock is close and offers all levels of hiking. This is a great place for a couple who might want to laze on a lake or use it as a home base for daily excursions. "

Toni & Ricky were most engaging hosts, truly concerned about our having a great time at their home as well as assisting us in enjoying points of interest throughout southern New England. They could not have been more attentive to our needs.Favorite activities at the lake included kayaking, canoeing,frequent trips around the lake on the Nicoll's gorgeous pontoon boat,dinners on the deck overlooking the lake and evening fires! The time we were able to spend in the Winchester/Keene area this summer afforded us much opportunity to explore: Yankee Candle & Kringle Candle flagship stores,hiking up Mt.
