Kayaking was easy and amazing fun - Herons, Kingfishers, Flycatchers, Geese, Ducks, Otters, Beaver - all there to watch and enjoy. The deck has a picturesque view of the lake with plenty of room to relax. Nice sun room wonderful for nighttime relaxing as well - listening to the lake sounds. We read books, my wife knitted and for once in this hectic world we were able to enjoy a virtually timeless break from things. Big screen TV in living room and nice TV in bedroom for those who want to watch. We barely did - the lake is so wonderful on its own - who wants to clutter it up with TV ? But its there for you. Excellent owner - attentive without being intrusive at all. Ideal. Easy instructions in all areas - a breeze to get to with Mapquest and close to a lot of stuff if you are inclined - though why you would want to leave the house we couldn't fathom. We're usually on the go so this was the perfect place to enjoy some true relaxation time. Although it is a lake community the house has great privacy with fences on each side to block out the neighbors. We're looking forward to renting again either over the winter or next summer. We only live a few miles away from it, but we felt like we were in some romantic cabin in the middle of Vermont. It was a total surprise to my husnband!! The home owner was great to work with!! The Jacuzzzi was wonderful under the stars!! We also really enjoyed watching the Olympics on the 60 inch Tv. There is also a nice set up on the computer for music which had all of our favorite artists!! I would encourage couples to rent this place for some romance, relaxation and lots of peace.
