Our cottage vacation getaway is located down a country lane and behind a locked gate, nestled deep in a quiet valley near rural Warfordsburg, PA. The peaceful surroundings give no hint to the activity and attractions that lie in the surrounding area.
Offering seclusion, quiet, and gated access, Green Valley is the perfect getaway from the noise and confusion of everyday living.
Lory Cottage sits at the end of Green Valley Lake Lane and looks down on the lovely two acre lake. The cottage is surrounded by softness and solitude.
At night her lights reflect on the water, and in the daytime she catches the valley breezes. Two stories with two bedrooms, Lory is cozy and completely furnished for your getaway.
A covered porch downstairs and a sundeck upstairs connects you to the outdoors. Your private hot tub seats five adults and is on a deck outside the great room, and has a great view of the lake or the starry night sky.
Lory has a fully equipped eat-in kitchen with electric range and oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and utensils, pots and pans, and silverware. The full bath downstairs has a roomy four foot shower. The great room has a TV with a DVD player, gas fireplace, and a stack washer/dryer.
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms. One with a queen-size bed and one with a full-size bed and also a half bath. Both bedrooms also access the large sundeck that makes a great place to soak up some sun or stargaze on a warm summers night. All linens and towels are provided.
Lory Cottage shares 53 mostly wooded acres with two other cottages that may also be rented. The two acre lake is stocked with bass, bluegill, and catfish and Adirondack chairs are provided lakeside. There are several marked hiking trails on the property and a bonfire area with firewood and picnic table.
We also have two bicycles in the summer for you to enjoy biking on Green Valley Lake Lane. The property is gated for your privacy and a key is provided so you may check yourself in any time after three in the afternoon and checkout is any time before eleven in the morning.
Spend a day at the lake boating or fishing. Go for a hike on one of our trails or take a bike ride. Build a campfire and wish on the stars so within your reach here. Be a kid again and spend some time at Lory Cottage. You will not want to leave!!
